Papa

“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” 

To the man with the bluest eyes, and the kindest heart. Our dearest Papa. We have shared so many precious memories, and had so many wonderful times together. Your absence is going to leave a huge hole in our hearts. However, you will be remembered in the many qualities that you shared with Tiana and I. Like yours and Tiana's love of chocolate milkshakes, and our love of a good book. You will be remembered in Dads beautiful blue eyes, and mums strength. You will be remembered whenever we see one of your precious bonsais, and your beloved meerkats. We will be reminded of you whenever Nana is proud of us, because we know that you would be proud of us too. Although you are no longer with us in body, your spirit will live on forever within our hearts. 

This last year was a hard one, especially for you. So it is comforting to know that you are finally at peace, you are no longer hurting, you are able to be you again. It was heart breaking to see you lose yourself. But know that we never lost you. We never forgot the man that you were. Your presence made a huge impact on our lives. You taught us things that we will never forget, and gave us the gift of your memories. 

Thank you for being such a wonderful grandpa to Tiana and I. We were blessed to have you in our lives. You will be greatly missed, and never forgotten. We will live the rest of our lives knowing that you are watching over us, and do everything we can to make you proud. We love you so much Papa. We will miss you. Rest easy, until we meet again one day.
